SVdP TriCounty, We are:
A diverse organization serving God and community focusing on transforming families in need, to paths of stronger spiritual, emotional and financial lives through acts of compassion, love and mentoring.
Furniture Ministry Update. July 2025. We are seeking new warehouse space. Currently, we cannot make appointments for people in need of furniture and we are avoiding accepting furniture donations. Email message from SVdP 6/23/25.
Reminder from January 2025: Reservations are required to receive furniture. Call (937)-993-3687 to schedule a time with our volunteers. Referrals from a church, local organization, or caseworker are now required.
SURPLUS SALE! Items that we cannot store at our temporary warehouse locations are being sold at the Surplus Sale at David’s House (1000 South E). Friday, July 11, 10:00am to 2:00pm. And also Saturday July 12, 10:00am to 2:00pm!
The proceeds from the Surplus Sale will go towards the Sweet Dreams, Beds for Kids Program.
We are continuing to grow!
We are looking for new space to run our Furniture Ministry and Sweet Dreams, Beds for Kids Programs! In addition to our current programs, we are looking into the possibility of expanding into a thrift store. For generations, SVdP has run thrift stores that benefit local communities.
Volunteers are always welcome!
We need help with: The communications team (social media, website, and working with local churches and organizations), furniture ministry team (delivery, pickups, meeting with people, home visits), volunteer team (recruiting, identifying needs and gifts, communicating with volunteers), thrift store exploratory team, fundraising team (grant-writing and communications). You can also help with the on-going Good Samaritans events. Speak to a member of SVdP or leave a message at (937) 993-3687.
